I had a decent stay at Hotel Cathedral, but there were definitely some ups and downs. The location was pretty convenient as it was a short walk to major attractions, but the street itself isn’t the most charming. My room was spacious and clean, although I didn’t get the upgrade I paid for upon arrival. The staff were friendly, but I wished they could've done more about the mix-up. Overall, it wasn't super fancy, but it didn’t break the bank either.

Rooms

My room was large and generally clean, but I didn’t receive the upgrade I had hoped for. The high ceilings were nice, but the steep stairs to reach my room weren't ideal post-exploration.
Service
6.0
The reception staff were pleasant and fairly helpful, but they couldn’t accommodate my request regarding the room mix-up, which was a bit disappointing.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was quite good for accessing the city center, even if the street is busy and not very interesting. It was easy to get to all the attractions, making it a solid base for my explorations.
Dining
9.0
Breakfast was one of the highlights for me, with a nice selection including fresh pastries and local cheeses. It was a great way to start the day before heading out.
Facilities
7.0
Although the spaces felt a bit utilitarian, they were functional and clean, which made my stay comfortable. I appreciated that there was secure parking available, but it’s best to book in advance.

My stay at Hotel Cathedral Gent Centrum was quite the mixed bag. The location was perfect for exploring the city, just a short walk from downtown, which was a huge plus. The room was spacious and clean, but I did have some issues with noise from the street, which made it hard to sleep. The staff were super friendly and offered great tips, but I felt they could enhance the experience with some additional comfort in the room.

Rooms

My room was spacious and clean, but the noise from the street was distracting at night. It had a nice layout with a comfortable sofa, which was a plus.

Breakfast had a good variety, with fresh pastries and local cheeses. I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere while dining, though some improvements could be made to the coffee's warmth.

The hotel had clean and tidy facilities. However, the lack of an elevator might be inconvenient for some, and the mini bar options were quite limited.

I had a decent stay at the Hotel Cathedral Gent Centrum. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the main attractions, and the rooms were spacious and clean. However, I faced some issues, like the restaurant being closed during the weekend and a lack of hot water on one evening. Overall, it was a mixed experience but definitely had its perks.

Rooms
6.0
My room was really spacious and clean, with a good layout and comfortable seating. However, I could hear street noise really well, which was a bit of a letdown at night.
Service
7.0
The staff was very friendly and eager to help. I felt welcomed, especially when I arrived and got a good briefing about the area. Still, I didn’t get much help with the hot water issue, which was disappointing.
Location
9.0
The hotel is super central, making it easy to explore Ghent. All the bars and restaurants were within walking distance, which was a huge plus for me.
Dining
5.0
I found the breakfast to be a bit lacking in variety for the price I paid. While the pastries and breads were good, there wasn't much else to choose from, and I skipped it on the second day.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had a secure parking garage, which I appreciated, especially since parking in the city can be tricky. There were also some inconsistencies with room amenities, like a coffee machine that didn’t work.

My stay at Hotel Cathedral Gent Centrum was quite pleasant. The room was spacious and clean, but the lack of air conditioning made it slightly uncomfortable at times. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the old center of Ghent, making it perfect for sightseeing. Although I didn't try the breakfast, I heard it was well-regarded.

Rooms

The room was large and newly decorated, featuring a comfortable bed and spotless linens. However, it lacked air conditioning, which could be an issue during warmer weather.

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Cathedral Gent Centrum. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beautiful old center of Ghent, which made exploring the city easy and enjoyable. The quick check-in was much appreciated, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. However, I did notice some areas that could use improvement, like the somewhat small shower in my room.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious and clean, with a large bathroom, though the shower itself was on the smaller side. I also noticed some outdated furniture, which detracted from the overall feel.
